I'm Adrian, welcome to my corner

I knew I wanted to work with tech thanks to my obsession with games, techs, and screens. I fell into design when I realized it was the small things that made up my enjoyment for a product, and with my background in Information Technology, I’m now on the other side of the screen, creating experiences that (hopefully) spark joy for others too.

My background & perspective

I was born and raised in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, a small, low-income, predominantly Latino community. Growing up, I saw how design often overlooks communities like mine, and with this perspective, I strive to advocate for inclusive, human-centered design that reflects underrepresented voices.

When I'm not doomscrolling

You can find me playing Pokemon Showdown Gen 9 Randbats (challenge me!), reading books, lifting weights, listening to gaming podcasts, or going on food-crawls in NYC. Lately, I've been keeping up with a personal goal of going to more concerts/live performances, which I've been pretty successful in and in 2024 alone, I got to see over 30!

Inspiration

You've probably noticed the grids and minimalism on this portfolio, it you're wondering, it was inspired by the Sega Master System's grid design, as well as Swiss and Apple design.
